The Korea Daily is pleased to announce a special summer internship program exclusively designed for members of the JoongAng Student Reporters (JSR). This program targets JSR student reporters who will be entering grades 9 through 12 as of the Fall 2026 semester. The internship will run for approximately four weeks, from June 22 to July 18, 2026.
During the program, selected participants will be divided into six specialized groups working under the overarching theme, “A Glimpse into 2050.” Through this initiative, students will have the unique opportunity to project future trends based on creative thinking and connect their insights with real-world, in-depth reporting—a process designed to elevate their skills as student journalists.
In addition to the core reporting projects, the internship features an exclusive guest lecture by a professional college admissions consultant. This session aims to provide participants with practical career exploration opportunities and strategic academic guidance.
The application must be submitted through the online form, accompanied by a short essay of 300 words or less. Final participants will be selected through an internal review process and notified individually.
Upon successful completion of the program, the final project outcomes will be featured on the official JSR website and in the print edition of the JoongAng Ilbo. Furthermore, participants will be awarded an official “JSR e-internship” Certificate of Completion, with special awards presented to outstanding projects.
