Air Premia Temporarily Cuts September LAX-Seoul Flight Frequency

Peak Season Adjustments: Air Premia Shifts September LAX Horizons

Travelers planning to fly between Southern California and South Korea this autumn will need to double-check their itineraries. In a sudden operational shift, hybrid carrier Air Premia has officially confirmed a series of flight schedule adjustments and frequency reductions on its flagship nonstop route connecting Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Incheon International Airport (ICN) in Seoul.

According to an official corporate advisory released by the airline on June 15, the structural adjustments are the direct result of recent changes in the carrier’s broader quarterly business and fleet allocation plans. The impact is isolated specifically to several high-traffic Monday departures throughout the month of September 2026.

Timelines and Shifts: Moving from Night to Morning

The operational re-shuffling specifically targets Monday flights scheduled for September 7, September 14, September 21, and September 28. For these specific dates, Air Premia is completely swapping out its standard late-night service hulls, converting the original flight numbers YP103 (Incheon to LAX) and YP104 (LAX to Incheon) over to the daylight operations of YP101 and YP102.

This change results in a dramatic shift in departure and arrival dynamics for passengers, moving transactions from overnight red-eyes to daytime flights:

  • Incheon to LAX (YP101): Originally scheduled to depart Seoul at 10:05 PM and land in Los Angeles at 5:20 PM on the same day. Under the new adjusted timeline, the flight will now depart the following day at 1:00 PM, arriving at LAX at 8:20 AM that same morning.

  • LAX to Incheon (YP102): Originally slotted to leave Southern California at 11:30 PM and land in South Korea two calendar days later at 4:30 AM. The revised schedule shifts this departure to the following morning at 10:50 AM, touching down at Incheon International Airport at 3:50 PM the next afternoon.

Protection Policies: Free One-Time Booking Modifications

Recognizing that shifting an international departure by over twelve hours can completely disrupt hotel reservations, connecting regional flights, and business meetings, Air Premia’s customer service team is rolling out an immediate waiver policy to protect affected ticket holders.

Passengers holding confirmed tickets on these disrupted September Monday flights are eligible for a one-time complimentary flight modification completely free of change fees. To utilize this option, the newly requested travel dates must fall within seven days, plus or minus, of the original departure date.

Passengers whose schedules cannot accommodate the new morning departures are advised to contact Air Premia’s corporate call center or coordinate directly with their booking travel agencies to process their free scheduling adjustment before standard seasonal inventory fills up.
