Bank of Hope CEO Kevin Kim Secures Employment Contract Extension Through 2031

The employment contract for Kevin Kim, Chairman and CEO of Bank of Hope, has been extended through August 2031.

According to a regulatory filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 25 by Hope Bancorp, the holding company of Bank of Hope, the board reached an agreement with Kim on August 24 to extend his employment term through August 31, 2031.

Under his previous agreement, Kim’s term was scheduled to expire on March 31, 2027. The newly finalized agreement extends his tenure by four years and five months.

Furthermore, with automatic renewal provisions included in the agreement, Kim’s contract can be extended up to August 2033. Under the previous terms, the maximum expiration date including automatic renewals was March 31, 2029.

Hope Bancorp clarified that the recent agreement strictly adjusts the duration of the employment contract. All other terms and conditions from the existing contract—including base salary, compensation structures, rights, and obligations—remain unchanged.
