The upcoming movie ‘Revival Man: The Red’ has heightened anticipation by releasing a ‘Coming Soon’ video featuring lead actor Koo Kyo-hwan. Set to premiere on September 30, the film tells the story of Seok-hwan (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), an unemployed job seeker whose only qualification is groundless confidence, who discovers he has the ability to resurrect 72 hours after death and subsequently gets caught up in a mysterious chase.

In the released video, Koo Kyo-hwan directly highlights the movie’s charming points. Amidst an unpredictable story where an ordinary person realizes his unreal power to resurrect after death, Koo’s action sequences shine brightly. Koo shared behind-the-scenes stories of taking on full-scale action acting, saying, ‘Since it’s a project where I had to roll around and move a lot, I built up my stamina so I wouldn’t get exhausted.’

He continued, ‘Before Seok-hwan uses 100% of his ability, he gets hit well and dies well. When utilizing 120% of his ability, he simply throws punches, but it was fun to think about how far the opponent hit by this punch would fly and how they become an element within the frame.’ This promises plenty of original action spectacles with a strong sense of impact.

The character relationships surrounding Seok-hwan also capture attention. Shin Seung-ho plays Black, the mysterious figure pursuing Seok-hwan. Regarding Shin, Koo Kyo-hwan mentioned, ‘I was greatly influenced and learned a lot seeing his attitude of never losing composure both inside and outside the camera, showing an overwhelming presence.’

About Kang Ki-young, who plays Seok-hwan’s only friend Young-ha, Koo described him as ‘someone who keeps Seok-hwan alive,’ raising expectations for the chemistry between the two. Lastly, regarding Kim Si-ah, who plays Yerin, a reliable supporter for Seok-hwan, he stated, ‘There was a lot to learn in how she handles emotions,’ hinting at a realistic sibling-like chemistry.

Featuring a unique and fresh premise where he grows stronger the more he dies, ‘Revival Man: The Red’ is set to meet audiences on September 30.
