OSEN DB.Lee Moo-saeng Takes on First Occult Role in Modub
Acclaimed actor Lee Moo-saeng is set to star in the upcoming occult mystery film Modub, showcasing a deeply emotional paternal performance in his first-ever venture into the occult genre. Scheduled to begin full-scale production on Friday, September 4, the movie features an elite star-studded cast including Yoo Hae-jin, Im Si-wan, Kim So-hyun, and Lee Moo-saeng.
Plot and Character Details of Modub
Set in an isolated, long-abandoned island during the 1960s, Modub weaves the eerie tale of individuals entangled like an untieable knot. Lee Moo-saeng plays Gu-taek, a devoted father who goes to desperate lengths to save his daughter Seon-ok (portrayed by Kim So-hyun), who suffers from mysterious, unexplained symptoms. Armed with fierce hope, Gu-taek embarks on a harrowing journey to the remote island, standing at the very center of the unfolding mystery.

Known for his remarkable versatility, Lee Moo-saeng has built an impressive filmography across television and cinema in South Korea. His extensive credits include hit dramas such as The World of the Married, Thirty, Nine, Cleaning Up, The Glory, Maestra: Strings of Truth, Hide, Blood Free, and Gyeongseong Creature Season 2, as well as films like Noryang: Deadly Sea, Citizen of a Kind, and The Desperate Chase. Continuing his busy schedule, he is also set to transform into Yoo Philip, a Gyeongseong correspondent for an American media outlet and member of the National Salvation Corps, in the upcoming tvN weekend drama The 100 Days Lie, premiering on October 10.
