Kim Garam, the former member of K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM, has officially kicked off her new chapter as an actress in South Korea. On September 10, her agency Management Koo revealed a fresh set of professional profile photos showcasing a mature aura. According to her agency, she has dedicated herself to rigorous trainingβimproving her acting skills, mastering English and Japanese, and working outβto build a strong foundation for her acting career. Her agency stated, “We want to showcase her diverse charms and acting potential through these new profiles and will provide full support for her growth.”
Past Controversy and Academic Journey
Kim Garam originally debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in May 2022. However, she faced severe school bullying allegations prior to and immediately following her debut. Despite initial denials and legal action by her former agency, disclosures including a school violence committee document confirming a Level 5 disciplinary action surfaced. This led to a suspension of her activities and the termination of her contract with Source Music in July 2022. While LE SSERAFIM reorganized into a five-member group, Kim Garam stepped away from the spotlight before enrolling in the Department of Media Acting at Konkuk University in 2024.
