Celebrating its milestone tvN 20th anniversary, South Korea’s leading cable network has officially unveiled its highly anticipated second-half lineup featuring top-tier stars and major blockbuster projects. During the ‘Creator Talk 2026’ event held at the CJ ENM Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul, media executives and producing directors gathered to introduce a powerful slate of new dramas and variety shows.
Head of Media BU Park Sang-hyuk emphasized the network’s ambitious goals, highlighting special anniversary projects designed to captivate global audiences. The upcoming schedule spans gripping historical spy thrillers, reverse-clichΓ© romantic comedies, athletic survival variety shows, and culinary spin-offs.
Star-Studded Dramas: Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Woo-bin, and Im Si-wan Lead the Slate
The drama lineup boasts some of the biggest names in the South Korean entertainment industry. Premiering on October 10, the historical romance-thriller ‘The 100th Lie’ stars Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jin-young as an elite Japanese Government-General interpreter and a Gyeongseong pickpocket working as a secret operative in enemy territory.
Following in October, the romantic comedy ‘My Guilty Man’ stars Im Si-wan and Seol In-ah in a gender-swapped reverse-clichΓ© dynamic involving an arrogant third-generation chaebol suspected of murder and a special forces operative working undercover as his bodyguard. In December, Kim Woo-bin and Eun-su return in ‘The Gift’, portraying a disgraced professional baseball coach taking charge of an underdog high school team.
Exciting Variety Returns with Iron Girls 3 and Undercover Chef
In addition to scripted blockbusters, beloved variety franchises are returning with fresh twists. ‘Iron Girls 3’ follows Seol In-ah, Geum Sae-rok, Han Ji-hyun, and Yeonwoo as they tackle the high-intensity challenge of short-track speed skating. Meanwhile, the hit culinary show ‘Undercover Chef’ returns with a special spin-off featuring star chefs welcoming international restaurant owners to Seoul, building on the massive domestic and international success seen across South Korea.
