BOYNEXTDOOR ANIMAL has officially been previewed for the first time, showcasing the group’s bold leap into the electro-punk genre. South Korea’s rising stars shared a highlight medley on the official HYBE LABELS YouTube channel, giving fans a first taste of their upcoming 1st studio repackage album, HOME: DELUXE.
The newly released teaser video highlights five distinct tracks, including the powerful title track ANIMAL, the disco-inspired CLICHE, the Korean version of Count To Love, the Japanese single Boom Boom Boom, and the heartfelt fan song 400 Years. With 9 existing tracks from their first studio album also included, the physical and digital release will feature a total of 14 tracks.
Star-Studded Production and Meaning Behind the Song
According to OSEN, ANIMAL delivers intense, driving energy through its fresh electro-punk sound. The lyrics capture an unstoppable ambition to constantly surpass oneself and push forward toward a better tomorrow, comparing the relentless pursuit of one’s goals to the dynamic movements of animals.
Music production features notable contributions from members Myung Jae-hyun, Taesan, and Woonhak, who took part in the songwriting credits. Furthermore, KOZ Entertainment’s lead producer and artist Zico, alongside long-time collaborators Pop Time and kako, spearheaded the production, guaranteeing top-tier quality for South Korea’s music scene.
