Actress Chae Soo-bin recently revealed a surprising behind-the-scenes habit involving her co-star Kim Young-kwang. Appearing on Hyeri’s YouTube channel episode titled ‘Soo-bin Followed Me and Young-kwang’s Battery Drained.. Charge Me’, Chae shared entertaining stories from the set of their upcoming South Korea production.
The Secret Behind the Sudden Body Slams
During the interview, Chae discussed how Kim would suddenly resort to physical comedy after filming romantic scenes. “After shooting a sweet scene, the moment they yelled cut, he would suddenly throw me with a body slam,” she recalled with a laugh. When Hyeri asked if it was out of embarrassment, Kim readily admitted that was the case. “It feels so awkward. Once I get fully immersed in a sweet role and deliver sweet lines, the moment they shout ‘Cut!’, I snap right back to reality and think ‘Ahhh!’ and just do a body slam out of embarrassment,” Kim confessed.
Upcoming Netflix K-Drama Release
Recalling her initial reaction, Chae joked, “At first, I thought ‘What is this? Who is this scary person?’” which brought even more laughter to the set. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Netflix series ‘Charge Me’ is scheduled to premiere on October 9, 2026. The series is described as a high-voltage romantic comedy about a man whose artificial heart battery drains and a woman with electrical superpowers.
