Legendary South Korean R&B duo Fly to the Sky has officially announced their long-awaited return to the music scene after an 8-year hiatus.
On September 27, member Brian took to his personal social media to share the exciting news, posting, “You guys heard the news, right? Hwanhee was telling the truth~ We are coming back!” He also shared photos of himself and Hwanhee smiling side by side, as well as a shot of him recording in the studio, instantly grabbing the attention of fans worldwide.
Brian added, “If you wait just a little bit longer, we might be making our comeback very soon,” heightening anticipation for their return.
The Long-Awaited Reunion After 8 Years
Fly to the Sky’s last full-group album was their 10th studio album, ‘Fly High,’ released back in 2019. Due to Brian’s ongoing vocal cord health issues, the duo had to put group promotions on hold. Now, after roughly 8 years, they are finally returning with brand-new music.
Prior to Brian’s social media post, Hwanhee first broke the news of Fly to the Sky’s comeback on the September 26 broadcast of KBS2’s ‘Mr. House Husband Season 2’. He explained, “We kept talking. (Brian) came as a guest to my solo concert last year, and Brian expressing his desire to stand on stage again was the decisive factor.”

Since their debut in 1999, Fly to the Sky has cemented their status as South Korea’s premier R&B duo, releasing timeless hit tracks such as ‘Missing You,’ ‘Sea of Love,’ ‘Even If It Hurts,’ ‘Decidedly,’ ‘If I Have to Hate You,’ ‘Your Season,’ and ‘When You Broke Up.’ Fans eagerly await how the iconic vocalists will captivate listeners once again with their upcoming release.
