H Mart is expanding its presence in Texas with the upcoming opening of a new store.
H Mart recently announced through a press release that it plans to open a new store at 3665 Hwy 6 in the Sugar Land area of Texas.
While a specific opening date has not been disclosed, the Sugar Land location will mark H Mart’s 9th store in the state of Texas.
The new store is designed as a one-stop shopping destination where customers can purchase fresh Asian ingredients and various daily necessities in one place.
Notably, the store will feature a food hall where visitors can enjoy cuisines from various Asian countries.
The 10 participating restaurant brands include Korean-style Chinese restaurant ‘Paik’s Noodle’, Korean traditional food specialist ‘Tosokchon’, soft tofu stew specialist ‘Sogongdong Tofu House’, Korean fried chicken brand ‘Puradak Chicken’, snack specialist ‘Tteok Dabang’, as well as mala specialist ‘Wok Bar’, Vietnamese restaurant ‘Camon’, Japanese specialist ‘Kumo’, bakery ‘Tous les Jours’, and dessert shop ‘Hey Yogurt’.
Brian Kwon, President of H Mart, stated, “We are thrilled to introduce the rich tastes and culture of authentic Asia to the residents of Sugar Land, Texas. We will do our best to ensure that customers can experience diverse food cultures from various Asian countries and easily enjoy Asian cuisine at home.”
Through the new store, H Mart plans to introduce Asian food culture to local residents while focusing on store development and marketing to grow alongside the local community.
Meanwhile, H Mart has expanded its business since opening its first store in Woodside, Queens, New York in 1982.
According to the company, it currently operates 110 stores across 20 states nationwide and is equipped with 18 distribution and processing facilities.
