Stray Kids STRAYCITY successfully concluded its Latin America tour, drawing a massive crowd of 270,000 attendees and writing another historic milestone for the group.
Co-produced by JYP Entertainment and global concert promoter Live Nation, the Stray Kids-headlined festival ‘STRAYCITY’ took place across three Latin American regions for a total of five shows, starting in Bogota, Colombia on the 9th, followed by Buenos Aires, Argentina on the 14th-15th, and Mexico City, Mexico on the 25th-26th (local time). Packed with enthusiastic crowds at every show, the members delivered explosive sing-alongs with hit tracks like ‘MANIAC’ and ‘God’s Menu’, brilliantly capping off the stages.
Building a Unique Brand Through World-Class Performances
This festival holds profound significance as it establishes Stray Kids’ unique musical worldview—honed through numerous massive world tours and headlining slots at global music festivals like Lollapalooza and BST Hyde Park—into an independent brand. In particular, the in-house producing team 3RACHA, consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin, and HAN, ranks at the top in the number of copyrighted songs registered with the Korea Music Copyright Association, serving as a solid foundation for this growth.
Having gathered 40만 (400,000) fans in South America alone during their ‘dominATE’ world tour last year, they once again demonstrated formidable ticket power this year. Combined with the 100,000 spectators at Brazil’s ‘Rock in Rio’ on the 11th, where they appeared as the first K-pop artists to headline, they connected with a total of 370,000 fans in Latin America this month alone.
Global Acclaim and Future Prospects
Billboard in the US showered praise, stating, “Could there be a more perfect (Rock in Rio) debut? It was historic, intense, and left you wanting more.” Through the successful kickoff of their self-produced festival ‘STRAYCITY’, Stray Kids are expected to firmly solidify their position as undisputed global festival powerhouses whom fans can always trust and watch.
