The tvN weekend drama Four Hands (written by Shin Yi-won, directed by Park Hyun-seok), nearing its grand finale, is set to captivate viewers once again with a diverse lineup of music that perfectly mirrors the narrative.
Four Hands OST Classic Collection Release
On October 1, OST production company STONE MUSIC officially announced, “The ‘Four Hands OST Classic Collection’ will be released on October 4 at 6 PM KST, followed by the full ‘Four Hands OST’ compilation album on October 5 at noon.”
Scheduled for release on October 4, the ‘Four Hands OST Classic Collection’ consists of 10 classical tracks supervised by Music Director Kim Jun-seok. Featuring performances by pianists Park Joo-young and Lee Min-sung, alongside the grand accompaniment of the Prague Metropolitan Orchestra, the collection highlights the exceptional quality unique to classical dramas.
This classical collection includes all three movements of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, the signature piece of Kang Bi-oh (played by Song Kang). It also features the Four Hands piano and orchestra versions of Saint-SaΓ«ns’ ‘Danse Macabre,’ which marks the moment Bi-oh and Choi Jung-yo (played by Lee Jun-young) first shared their feelings. In addition, it includes fan-favorite masterpieces such as Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 8 ‘PathΓ©tique’ 1st Movement, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20, and Bach Cantatas.
Comprehensive Compilation Album and Special Tracks
The comprehensive ‘Four Hands OST’ compilation album dropping on October 5 will feature all the well-made score tracks by Music Director Kim Jun-seok, three vocal tracks by Jung Seung-hwan, So Soo-bin, and Jae-yeon, as well as the 10 classical tracks.
Notably, the original self-composed piano concerto ‘Nemesis’βwhich Jung-yo spent five years perfecting and entrusted Bi-oh to premiereβwill be unveiled for the first time through this compilation. As a core musical piece that weaves together their intertwined narratives through sweeping lyricism and passion, it is expected to be a refreshing gift for fans who have eagerly awaited the release.
‘Four Hands’ depicts the friendship, love, and growing pains of artistic youths gathered at a music high school. Marking actor Song Kang’s highly anticipated first project since completing his military service, the drama has successfully stolen viewers’ hearts with the dazzling bromance between Song Kang and Lee Jun-young. Following episode 11 on October 3, the drama airs its final episode on October 4.
The ‘Four Hands OST Classic Collection’ will be available on major online music sites on Sunday, October 4 at 6 PM KST, while the ‘Four Hands OST’ compilation album will be released on Monday, October 5 at noon.
