BTS World Tour ‘ARIRANG’ has officially surpassed $500 million in cumulative revenue, making BTS the first pop group in history to achieve this milestone.
Historic Billboard Boxscore Milestone
According to Billboard’s latest Boxscore figures, the tour kicked off in Goyang, South Korea, in April and crossed the $500 million threshold. Out of fewer than 20 tours in history to reach this milestone, BTS is the seventh group overall and the very first pop group, as the previous six were all rock bands.
Record-Breaking Monthly Ticket Sales
BTS also dominated Billboard’s ‘Top Tours’ chart, ranking first with $171.7 million in ticket sales and 800,000 attendees from 12 shows in August. This marks the second-highest monthly gross in Billboard Boxscore history, following BeyoncΓ© in August 2023. Additionally, BTS secured their fifth career No. 1 on the ‘Top Tours’ chart.
North American Leg and Future Projections
The North American leg was a massive success, with all 12 shows across 6 cities completely sold out. The MetLife Stadium concerts in New Jersey alone drew 158,000 fans and generated $32.7 million. With nearly 40 shows remaining, analysts project the tour’s final cumulative revenue could reach the $1 billion mark.
