The BTS world tour titled ‘Arirang’ has officially surpassed $500 million (approx. 680 billion KRW) in cumulative revenue, making history as the first-ever pop group to achieve this milestone.

Billboard Boxscore and Historic Achievement

According to Billboard’s latest boxscore report released on the 30th (local time), ‘Arirang’ became the seventh tour in history by any group to reach the $500 million mark. Billboard noted that since the previous six acts were all rock bands, BTS has entered unprecedented territory as a pop group.

Record-Breaking August Performance

During August, BTS held 12 concerts, mobilizing approximately 800,000 fans and generating $171.7 million (approx. 234 billion KRW) in ticket sales to top the Billboard ‘Top Tours’ chart for the fifth time in their career. Their August monthly revenue is the second-highest in Billboard Boxscore history, following BeyoncΓ© in August 2023. Notably, just two concerts at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, brought in $32.7 million with about 158,000 attendees.

Projected Final Earnings

With roughly 40 tour dates still remaining, Billboard projects that the final cumulative revenue for the BTS world tour could reach up to $1 billion (approx. 1.36 trillion KRW).
