Moon Geun-young recently expressed her shyness and embarrassment after watching footage of herself from the classic drama ‘Autumn in My Heart’.
On October 5, the first episode of SBS ‘Our Ballad 2’ (hereafter ‘Woo-Bal-Ra 2’) aired, featuring the 1st round of the main competition under the theme ‘Songs That Made Me Cry’.
During the broadcast, the iconic OST for ‘Autumn in My Heart’ was played. As past footage of Moon Geun-youngβwho played the child counterpart to Song Hye-kyo in the dramaβwas revealed, she instinctively covered her face in embarrassment.
When the 13-year-old Moon Geun-young’s appearance was compared side-by-side with her present self, everyone on set expressed awe at her unchanging visuals. Moon Geun-young shared her thoughts, saying, “It’s been decades. It’s such a distant past.”
In response to compliments that her face has remained exactly the same, Moon Geun-young smiled shyly and expressed her gratitude. When asked how she managed to cry so convincingly back then, she playfully explained, “They told me to cry! So I cried.”
Host Jun Hyun-moo asked, “Is this the project that earned you the title of ‘Nation’s Little Sister’?” to which Moon Geun-young replied, “It was the beginning of it all.”
While listening to a touching song, Moon Geun-young’s eyes welled up with tears. She shared her review of the performance, saying, “Listening to the song for the first time, I thought, ‘Does this have so much sorrow?’ It felt like it carried deep emotional sensitivity. The sensitivity was so wonderful that I almost burst into tears myself.”>
