The 20th KD College Fair, sponsored by McDonald’s APA Next, will take place on Saturday, November 14, at RFK Community Schools in Koreatown, LA. The free event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with doors opening and check-in beginning at 10:30 a.m.
One of the Asian community’s largest education fairs, the event will give students and families an opportunity to explore college options, learn about admissions and transfer pathways, and speak directly with college representatives and education professionals.
This year’s programs will cover practical topics including UC admissions, community college transfer strategies, scholarships and financial aid, college application essays, and career preparation. The fair welcomes middle and high school students, community college students preparing to transfer, and their families.
Attendees can also learn about the APIA Scholarship supported by McDonald’s APA Next, along with other scholarship opportunities and resources to help make college more affordable.
Talk sessions on medical school, healthcare careers, and STEM fields will offer guidance on choosing a major and preparing for future careers. Participants affiliated with Yale School of Medicine, USC, UC campuses, and other public and private universities are expected to attend. Current students, alumni, and admissions officers will share their experiences and insights, with one-on-one consultations also planned.
College admissions consulting firms and youth organizations will participate as well, helping students explore extracurricular activities, volunteer opportunities, and leadership programs that support their personal growth and college preparation.
Admission is free, and preregistered attendees will receive a special gift at check-in on the day of the event. A prize drawing will be held at a later date for event attendees, with prizes including round-trip airline tickets, laptops, TVs, and gift cards.
