U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a Korean illegal immigrant convicted of money laundering and other charges.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed the arrest of five undocumented criminals on the 6th, including Han Lee, an illegal immigrant originally from South Korea.
According to DHS, Lee was previously convicted of conspiracy to entice and coerce women into prostitution and conspiracy to wash money. Specific sentencing details and the location of the arrest were not disclosed.
The other individuals revealed alongside him are undocumented immigrants with criminal records including child sex crimes, drug trafficking, and theft.
One Mexican national has a record of lewd acts against a child under 14, two individuals from the Dominican Republic and Colombia have drug trafficking and distribution records, and another Mexican national has a theft record.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated, “If you enter the U.S. illegally and break the law, ICE will find and deport you,” emphasizing that enforcement operations will continue.
Meanwhile, as of the 7th, 22 individuals from South Korea were listed on the DHS ‘Worst of the Worst’ public website for undocumented criminals.
