[OSEN=Reporter Seon Mi-kyung] WINNER member Song Mino, who was sentenced to a suspended prison term on charges of violating the Military Service Act, has directly apologized, stating that “every day was filled with deep regret.”
On the 9th, Song Mino posted a handwritten letter on his personal SNS, stating, “I bow my head and apologize for causing concern to many people due to my actions.”
Song Mino continued, “I should have expressed my position sooner, but it became too late. I am sorry for making you wait for a long time,” adding, “Above all, I am deeply sorry for disappointing the young men who are faithfully fulfilling their military duties, as well as the fans who have cherished me more than anyone else.”
He further confessed his feelings, saying, “Every day was full of regret. My past choices, which lacked a sense of responsibility, were shameful and hateful to me.”
Song Mino stated, “I will reflect on my foolish mistakes without avoiding them. I will faithfully carry out the remaining procedures and duties,” and added, “I will live with a more responsible attitude, keeping this incident in my heart and never forgetting it.”
Previously, Song Mino was accused of deserting his post for 102 days without a justifiable reason while serving as a social service worker at the Mapo-gu Facility Management Corporation and Community Convenience Facility in Seoul from 2023 until December of the following year.
In response, Judge Sung Jun-gyu of Criminal Division 10 at the Seoul Western District Court sentenced Song Mino to one year in prison with a two-year probation on charges of violating the Military Service Act.

Hello, this is Song Mino. I sincerely bow my head and apologize for causing concern to many people because of me. I should have stated my position sooner, but it became too late. I am sorry for making you wait for a long time. Above all, I am deeply sorry for disappointing the young men who are faithfully fulfilling their military duties, as well as the fans who have cherished me more than anyone else. Every day was filled with regret. My past choices, which lacked responsibility, were shameful and hateful. I will reflect on my foolish faults without running away from them.
