[OSEN=Kang Seo-jung] Group BOYNEXTDOOR has secured their first music show trophy since their comeback with the new song ‘ANIMAL’.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Sungho, Riwoo, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, Woonhak) claimed first place with ‘ANIMAL’, the title track of their 1st regular repackage album ‘HOME: DELUXE’, on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ broadcast on the 8th.
Holding the trophy, the members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their fans. They stated, "Thank you so much for showering ‘ANIMAL’ with so much love, a song we prepared as a gift for our fans during our tour. We feel like we live day by day thanks to our ONEDOOR (fandom name) fans. We will not take your love for granted and will work even harder moving forward." Following their win, they delivered a stable, flawless encore performance that heightened the excitement in the studio.
The enthusiastic response to the new release is also evident on album charts. ‘HOME: DELUXE’ claimed the No. 1 spot on Hanteo Chart’s weekly physical album chart for the tracking period of September 28 to October 4. In Japan, the album also topped Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking on October 2, the very first day of its release.
Additionally, the album secured the No. 4 spot on Oricon’s latest weekly album ranking and weekly combined album ranking for the week of September 28 to October 4. Achieving high rankings across both charts with just three days of sales following its local release proved the explosive interest in Japan.
The group is also achieving consistent results on digital music charts. All tracks from ‘HOME: DELUXE’ entered Circle Chart’s latest weekly download chart for the period of September 27 to October 3. The new repackage track ‘ANIMAL’ ranked 8th, followed by ‘CLICHE’ at 22nd, ‘Count To Love (Korean Ver.)’ at 23rd, ‘400 Years’ at 25th, and ‘Boom Boom Boom’ at 44th. With not only the title track but the entire album charting, they demonstrated broad popularity.
Bolstered by their first music show win and domestic and international chart milestones, BOYNEXTDOOR is set to continue their world tour momentum in Japan. They will hold their first world tour ‘BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.2” at Lala Arena Tokyo-Bay in Chiba, Japan, on October 10 and 11 to connect with local fans.
