Singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun recently returned to music broadcast stages after a long hiatus to connect with his fans.
Hwang appeared on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on the afternoon of the 8th and performed ‘OUR’, the title track of his digital single [OUR], for the very first time on television.
On this day, Hwang instantly captured attention by stepping onto the stage in a sleek black suit paired with a red tie. Alongside his striking visuals, he delicately expressed the song’s atmosphere with a sweet vocal tone that harmonized with dreamy sounds. He maximized the unique sensibility of ‘OUR’ through restrained movements and sophisticated performances.
During his comeback interview, he shared warm greetings with his fans. Hwang expressed his ambitions, saying, “I’m back with a new song after eight months. I came to deliver a wonderful performance for those who have waited, and I will show you a more mature side of me.” He further heightened comeback excitement by presenting the ‘OUR’ dance challenge, highlighting his sensible dance lines.
The new track ‘OUR’ is a medium-tempo pop genre song featuring a minimalist composition centered around a guitar. It conveys the warm message that even as seasons change and familiar daily routines pass by, feelings toward one another remain unchanged. The song’s emotional depth, blended with Hwang’s soft vocal color, is receiving enthusiastic responses from global fans.
Hwang is accelerating his new song activities by continuing his music broadcast appearances. Starting with KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’ on the 9th, he is scheduled to sequentially perform ‘OUR’ on MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ on the 10th and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on the 11th.
Notably, this marks Hwang’s first week-long music show broadcast run in approximately 3 years and 7 months, following the release of his first mini-album ‘Truth or Lie’ in 2023. Attention is focused on what charms the artist, returning to music activities after a long time, will display through his deepened musical color and unwavering stage presence.
Following his music show promotions, meetings with fans are also lined up. Hwang is set to hold the ‘2026 Hwang Min-hyun Fan Meeting ‘Taowon-gyeong” at the Woori Bank Hall in Coex Artium, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from the 16th to the 18th. Starting with the Seoul concerts, he plans to spend special times with domestic and international fans through a total of seven fan meetings across cities including Tokyo (October 21-22), Macau (November 7), and Taipei (November 27).
