Actress Kim Yoo-jung captivated viewers with her bold energy and multifaceted acting right from the premiere of the new tvN weekend drama ‘100 Days of Lies’.

In the first episode of ‘100 Days of Lies’ (written by Ryu Bo-ri, directed by Yoo In-shik and Kim Yoon-jin), which aired at 9:10 p.m. on the 10th, Kim Yoo-jung made a strong impression appearing as Lee Ga-kyung, a Gyeongseong pickpocket raising funds for a trip to America.

On this day, Kim Yoo-jung opened the show on a cheerful note by playfully portraying Lee Ga-kyung wandering around Gyeongseong Station. Bringing the character’s cleverness and boldness to life with ever-changing expressions and attitudes, she naturally blended into the period’s atmosphere with fitting visuals and an unhesitating tone.

Her chemistry with Park Jin-young, who plays Sato Hideo / Kim Tae-woong, stood out in particular. Kim Yoo-jung showcased fluent skills across three languages—Korean, Japanese, and English—and heightened interest with a sudden twist of stealing a wallet amid witty banter. She also built a bright and free-spirited charm through natural chemistry with Hong Sa-bin, who plays Inoma.

Near the end of the broadcast, a tense situation unfolded as she stole Yoo So-ran’s (Kim Hyun-joo) bag and became entangled in a plan to assassinate the Governor-General. Facing extreme danger as a hostage, Kim Yoo-jung delivered intense tension by alerting Sato Hideo in English, proving her broad spectrum that seamlessly bridges cheerfulness and desperation.

Meanwhile, the first episode of ‘100 Days of Lies’ recorded an average of 5.3% and a peak of 7.2% for nationwide households based on Nielsen Korea’s paid platform standards, marking a pleasant start as number one in its time slot across cable and general programming channels.
