Choreographer Lee Jung recently opened up about her hidden struggles with inferiority.

On the October 14th episode of the KBS YouTube channel ‘Yeouido Leaving Work Club’ and its emotion-focused talk show tentatively titled ‘Who Keeps a Grudge Inside Their Heart’, Lee Jung appeared as a special guest to share her inner thoughts.

Lee Jung remarked, “There were so many emotions to choose from, but this was the one I could talk about most honestly. It’s a friend I just can’t shake off.” Despite her confident stage presence, she confessed, “To the media and public, I might seem self-assured and confident, but I am not like that every single time.”

Even the MCs hesitated momentarily at the heavy three-syllable word ‘inferiority’. Tongdak Cheonsa remarked, “The word itself carries a kind of violence. The moment someone asks, ‘Are you feeling inferior to me?’, you instantly get triggered.” Lee Eun-ji also expressed concern, joking, “Should we just wrap up filming right now?”

However, once the conversation truly began, the four participants shared their personal experiences with inferiority more honestly than ever. Lee Eun-ji recalled her past days of failing the final round of KBS comedian recruitment four consecutive times, confessing, “I can’t remember a single corner from ‘Gag Concert’ back then.”

Lee Jung, who has even clutched trophies at global award ceremonies, shared, “Even though I already have trophies at home, before I die, I want to win just one more.” She went on to open up about a specific choreographer’s ‘attitude’ that stung her pride even more than award results.

Tongdak Cheonsa revealed a story about placing second by an overwhelming margin of votes despite putting a lot of effort into the annual ‘Person of the Year’ vote held on her older brother Chichakman’s channel. Cloud Pharmacist surprised everyone by sharing an experience where the author of malicious comments targeting her turned out to be someone she actually knew.

The episode was reportedly filled with raw and relatable life quotes, such as Lee Jung’s sharp remark that “confessing your inferiority to someone is not a confession, it’s an appeal,” Tongdak Cheonsa’s realistic analysis that saying “‘I feel inferior to you’ only makes the listener reply ‘So what?'”, and Cloud Pharmacist’s survival tip that “when feeling inferior, I don’t even open Instagram at all.”
