Actress Han Ga-in recently shared a lighthearted and funny story about how she begged her husband, Yeon Jung-hoon, for a belly button piercing early in their marriage, only to be flatly rejected.
On the 15th, a video was uploaded to Han Ga-in’s YouTube channel titled ‘Han Ga-in reveals jewelry collected over 23 years, from luxury items and wedding gifts to domestic designer brands (Not a PPL).’ In the video, she opened up about her past rebellious wishes.
Han Ga-in caught attention by saying, “When we first got married, I told my husband, ‘I really want to get a belly button piercing. Please let me get a belly button piercing.'”
She then explained Yeon Jung-hoon’s conservative personality, sharing, “My husband doesn’t really like me getting nail care, nor does he like bright colors. He also isn’t a fan of wearing jewelry like that.” She added with a laugh, “And a belly button piercing? To him, that was practically out of the question.”>
When the production team asked why she wanted a belly button piercing when she didn’t even normally expose her stomach, Han Ga-in explained, “Back then, in my young heart, I felt like I was experiencing a late-coming period of adolescent rebellion.”
She continued, “Since I got married without even getting to play around much, I wanted to relieve my stress by getting a belly button piercing. I begged him, but when he said no, I ended up thinking, ‘Well then, I’ll pierce my ears instead.'” She added that she got two ear piercings instead of the belly button one, bringing laughter to the staff.
