Global mega-hit IP Remarried Empress, which has accumulated 2.97 billion views worldwide, has finally unveiled its gorgeous live-action drama adaptation.
Disney+ original series Remarried Empress released press stills on the 19th, capturing the grand imperial scale and the intertwined narratives of four main characters.
Remarried Empress is a romance fantasy epic about Navier (played by Shin Min-a), the flawless empress of the Eastern Empire, who faces a divorce notice from Emperor Sovieshu (played by Ju Ji-hoon), who has fallen for the runaway slave Rashta (played by Lee Se-young). In response, Navier accepts the divorce on the condition that her remarriage to Heinrey (played by Lee Jong-suk), the prince of the Western Kingdom, is approved.
In the newly released stills, actress Shin Min-a perfectly transforms into Empress Navier, radiating elegant dignity and beauty. However, her slightly shaken, cold expression upon facing Rashta hints at the cracks beginning to form in the empress’s perfect world.
Ju Ji-hoon, taking on the role of Emperor Sovieshu, promises a powerful performance oscillating between coldness and imperial majesty. Meanwhile, Lee Jong-suk as Heinrey, the mysterious prince of the Western Kingdom, raises anticipation for his fateful connection with Navier through his relaxed smile and inscrutable charm. Lee Se-young plays Rashta, the runaway slave who begins to harbor ambition under the emperor’s favor, and is set to bring a storm to the imperial court with her gaze where innocence and desire intersect.
Transcending simple romance, the romance fantasy blockbuster Remarried Empressβwhere imperial power, political interests, and the intense ambitions of four men and women collideβwill premiere exclusively on Disney+ on November 4.
