Sangmidang Holdings Vice Chairman Heo Jin-su met with key figures, including U.S. Ambassador to France Charles Kushner—who is also the in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump—to discuss strategies for expanding business cooperation in the North American market.

Expanding Global Partnerships in Paris

The meeting took place on the 18th (local time) at the U.S. Ambassador’s residence in France during a global partner invitation event hosted by Gellert Global Group (GGG), a major global food distribution enterprise. Ambassador Kushner organized the gathering to encourage GGG’s global partners, drawing approximately 130 attendees from around 80 companies worldwide. Sangmidang Holdings was notably the only Korean company invited to the prestigious event.

During the gathering, Vice Chairman Heo held discussions with Ambassador Kushner and GGG Chairman George Gellert to explore ways to broaden their international partnership. Following the successful meeting, Ambassador Kushner and Chairman Gellert visited the Samlip exhibition booth at SIAL Paris 2026, one of the world’s largest food exhibitions, the very next day.

Accelerating North American and European Expansion

Building on this momentum, Sangmidang Holdings and GGG are currently reviewing concrete plans to supply major mainstream markets and food ingredient distribution networks in the United States, while also paving the way for broader distribution channels across North America, including Canada and Mexico.

In addition to North American ventures, Vice Chairman Heo connected with European food ingredient and bakery manufacturing companies. According to Sangmidang Holdings, these meetings laid a solid foundation for future collaborations aimed at accelerating the market expansion of Samlip and Paris Baguette throughout Europe.

A representative from Sangmidang Holdings stated that this event served as a pivotal turning point for expanding the company’s network across North America and Europe, emphasizing plans to reinforce partnerships with global enterprises and accelerate entry into overseas markets.
