[OSEN=Choi Lee-jung] Group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) has raised anticipation for their comeback by unveiling a preview of their new album.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Subin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai) posted the preview video for their 9th mini-album ‘PERFECT STORM’ on the official Hive Labels YouTube channel at midnight on the 5th. Highlight audio from a total of six tracksβ€”including the title track ‘Angel Bite’, ‘Something Different is Needed (Storm is…)’, ‘Higher Love’, ‘Sweetest Escape’, ‘Touch the Sky’, and ‘Hate It or Love It’β€”was unveiled, capturing the attention of global fans.

This new album portrays the TXT Perfect Storm of Z-generation youths who have passed through the fantasies and wanderings of their teens and are now facing the weight of reality. The emotional turbulence of real-life pain, burning aspirations, and bold moments of change is deeply expressed through various musical genres.

The title track ‘Angel Bite’ is a discoplug genre that combines upbeat tracks reminiscent of game sounds with raw yet dreamy melodies. It creates a unique atmosphere where bright, exhilarating energy and painful, desperate emotions coexist. Through this song, TOMORROW X TOGETHER sings about the desire to be with ‘you’ even though youth is messy and not always beautiful. Previously released striking and direct lyrics such as “Even if there’s nothing, I want to be with you” and “Even if I throw up, right by your side” have heightened curiosity about the new track.

The genre experiments and diverse charms of the unit songs also stand out. The album’s first track ‘Something Different is Needed (Storm is…)’ is an avant-pop genre that declares a willing dive into the storm to break through a suffocating reality, showcasing the team’s original musicality. The third track ‘Higher Love’ is a dance-punk song where intense guitar loops and electronic elements emit explosive energy.

The active participation of the members in unit songs is also drawing anticipation. Yeonjun, Taehyun, and Hueningkai’s unit song ‘Sweetest Escape’ is a vintage pop genre featuring a confession to become a sweet escape in a harsh reality. ‘Touch the Sky’, co-written and sung by Subin and Beomgyu, is a minimal techno song comparing ambition for success to the sky, creating synergy with dreamy synthesizers and sensual vocals.

The final track ‘Hate It or Love It’, with lyrics co-written by Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai, is an alternative pop song that delivers a heavy messageβ€”that one must know how to let go of what is in their hand for changeβ€”through a lyrical melody and groovy rhythm.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER, who have honestly expressed the emotions felt by their peers since debut, will more directly sing about the realistic pain, anxiety, and desire for change experienced by youth in their mid-20s through their new album, set for release at 6 p.m. on the 16th.
