Singer Dawn dance comeback has become a hot topic as he recently revealed the special story behind returning to choreography after a four-year hiatus.

On the November 5 episode of YouTube channel ‘Studio Waffle’s ‘Dawnworry Be Haetnim’, a video titled ‘Dawn and J-Black’s Ajuzing & Shirley NEON Kiss Dance (A20 LITE, NEON Challenge, Choreography Behind-the-Talk)’ was released.

In the video, Dawn visited a dance studio in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province, sharing, "I’m trying to dance for the first time in 4 years. I’m going to find my lost joints." He met up with long-time acquaintances, dancers J-Black and Mari, to take on the challenge of dancing once again.

Dawn opened up about why he stopped dancing for so long and what inspired him to start again. He introduced a special bond with a loyal fan, saying, "Recently, there is a fan who has liked me since my trainee days. I want to give her a surprise congratulatory song at her wedding." He added that his fans are also close with one another.

He continued, "I wanted to hold a fan meeting for the first time this year. But people told me that if I don’t do anything the fans like, nobody will show up," recalling his worries at the time. During this process, the fan made a special request. Dawn explained, "When I asked what I should do, the fan suggested doing a challenge with J-Black. She asked me to dance."

However, it was not an easy decision for Dawn, who hadn’t danced in four years. He confessed honestly, "I was worried. I worried for three days, wondering if I could actually pull it off. Without dancing for a while, I felt intimidated about whether I could even do it anymore." He added, "It feels like I lost my joints. I’ve been working out, but a fan made this wish. Since it was a fan’s request, I felt like I needed to do even better."

Afterwards, Dawn dove into intense choreography practice alongside J-Black and Mari. J-Black joked that the lesson fee was 140 million KRW and playfully quipped that "Dawn is going to buy us a new apartment," bringing laughter to the set. Playful mood aside, Dawn focused seriously on learning the choreography, proving his long hiatus was no obstacle. Watching him, J-Black praised him, saying, "Dawn has become an artist chasing his singing dreams again for his fans. He is a truly hardworking artist. I didn’t expect him to be this good." He especially complimented Dawn’s skills, noting, "Among everyone who did the challenge, Dawn has the highest level of detail and completion. It’s awesome."

Dawn also shared the emotions he felt through dance, stating, "Dance is a language. Don’t you express emotions and communicate through dance? It’s a feeling that comes from the heart. I’m glad I can learn the language of dance from these older brothers." J-Black acknowledged his passion, saying, "Dawn is a true artist. This is what dancing is all about." Finally, calling out the name of the fan who asked him to dance, Dawn expressed his gratitude: "Can you see this? Thanks to you, my dancing career has been extended."

Dawn’s return to dance after four years, sparked by a longtime fan’s simple wish, brought warmth to viewers. With a concert also being teased, expectations among fans are higher than ever.
