The hidden family relationship of SM C&C CEO Park Tae-hyun, who is also the father of WJSN member Subin, was recently brought to light on a popular television broadcast.
During the November 7th broadcast of MBC’s ‘Omniscient Interfering View’, behind-the-scenes footage of comedian Shingiru’s first fan meeting was revealed. While visiting Shingiru’s waiting room, fellow labelmate Jun Hyun-moo introduced SM C&C CEO Park Tae-hyun, noting his past as Kang Ho-dong’s manager and revealing his identity as WJSN Subin’s father.
From Top Manager to Entertainment Agency Chief
Park Tae-hyun has spent over 30 years in the entertainment industry since the late 1990s, eventually rising to become the CEO of SM C&C. Having overseen management operations since 2012, he is widely recognized for his extensive background working closely with top stars.
Although his prominent career and connection to Kang Ho-dong and WJSN Subin are well-known within the industry, his exact family relationship was only made public in 2024.
Subin’s Perspective on Her Famous Father
In previous interviews, Subin described her father as a friendly figure, likening him to a person with a girlish sensitivity who enjoys dramas and conversations. She humorously mentioned that they prefer not working at the same agency, expressing relief that they are separated professionally.
Meanwhile, Subin debuted with the girl group WJSN in 2016 and expanded her career into musical theater in 2023 through ‘Aloha, My Moms’.
