Major corporations are shifting their hiring paradigms as the integration of artificial intelligence transforms modern workplaces. Companies are no longer just looking for specific job titles; they are prioritizing problem-solving abilities and critical thinking in candidates.
The Shift Toward AI Native Talent and Problem Solving
Travel platform MyRealTrip recently conducted its first entry-level open recruitment in 14 years without fixing specific jobs or organizations and without limiting majors. The goal is to allow candidates from diverse academic backgrounds to cross boundaries between roles based on their strengths, adapting to work environments reshaped by AI.
Selection processes have also been redesigned around problem-solving capabilities. Rather than traditional evaluations, companies assess candidates’ execution processes and AI tool utilization skills through comprehensive assessments and practical challenges.
How Tech Giants Like Nexon and Krafton Adapt
Gaming giants such as Nexon and Krafton have overhauled their screening methods to filter for AI recruiting success. Krafton evaluates AI utilization competency and general thinking across various job groups without strict major or GPA limits. Meanwhile, Nexon eliminated coding tests from its game programmer recruitment process, opting for AI-assisted practical task evaluations.
Other conglomerates are following suit through gradual changes. Doosan requires candidates to write reports using AI within strict timeframes, while SK Hannix combines AI tasks with humanities discussions to evaluate comprehensive competencies. Experts emphasize that companies are looking for masters of AI rather than its slaves, necessitating deep domain knowledge alongside technical proficiency.
