Amazon has unveiled Amazon AI device models named ‘Bee Frontier’ and ‘Bee Eclipse’ designed to automatically record, summarize, and manage daily conversations and schedules.
Equipped with built-in microphones, these devices convert meetings and everyday chats into text while summarizing core points. They can generate to-do lists and reminders based on conversation content, and even recommend personal goals or actions.
For instance, when planning a trip over the phone with a friend, the devices automatically organize flight departure times and hotel reservations. Users can record key schedules simply through conversation without manual note-taking.
Integration is supported with existing apps such as Google Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook. This allows users to draft follow-up emails or add calendar events based on dialogue context.
Basic features like speech-to-text conversion and summarization are offered for free, along with the past 14 days of conversation history. However, advanced features such as task recommendations and Amazon AI agent integration require a monthly subscription fee of $11.99.
Addressing privacy concerns related to voice recording, Amazon emphasized robust data protection. The company explained that recorded audio is deleted after being converted to text, and no oneβincluding Amazonβcan access the data unless the user explicitly shares it.
The Bee Frontier features a silicone band design that can be worn like a watch or attached to clothing, priced at $74.99. The Bee Eclipse is credit-card-sized and attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone, retailing for $99.99.
