US artificial intelligence startup Anthropic has publicly filed its registration statement for an initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq.
According to Reuters on the 26th (local time), Anthropic, the developer of the AI chatbot ‘Claude’, submitted its registration statement to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to officially kick off its public listing process.
Nasdaq Listing Details and Ticker ‘ANT’
Anthropic is expected to trade on the Nasdaq market under the ticker symbol ‘ANT’. However, the company has not yet disclosed specific offering conditions, such as the number of shares to be offered or the anticipated price range.
According to the registration statement, Anthropic reported revenue of $16.3 billion (approx. 23 trillion KRW) and a net loss of $80.7 billion (approx. 115 trillion KRW) for the first half of this year. The net loss largely reflects accounting losses resulting from valuation changes in convertible bonds and other financial instruments.
Valuation and Future Outlook
Reuters reported that some investors value Anthropic’s enterprise value at approximately $1.5 trillion, which is lower than the $2 trillion figure previously discussed.
Anthropic originally submitted a confidential IPO application to the SEC back in June. While this public filing marks a significant step forward in the listing process, the official launch date for the IPO has not yet been finalized.
