Group ATEEZ Wooyoung recently drew laughter by attributing member San’s extraordinary global popularity to his chest and piercing gaze.

On the 13th, YouTube channel ‘TEO’ released an episode titled ‘A Match Approved by Both Sets of Parents (Planning to Get Married) | EP.159 ATEEZ Wooyoung San | Salon Drip’.

During the episode, MC Jang Do-yeon mentioned that ATEEZ became the first boy group to perform on the US Coachella stage. In response, Wooyoung pointed at San and hilariously remarked, “This friend’s chest did all the work,” creating an outburst of laughter.

Although San tried to explain, “Coachella was quite a while ago,” Wooyoung continued his playful banter, insisting, “It was achieved purely thanks to San’s chest.” ATEEZ has been enjoying explosive popularity overseas. San shared his thoughts, saying, “It feels fascinating that our popularity is being reverse-exported. It feels different since we are doing well in Korea too.” Regarding their recent hit ‘BAD’, he explained, “When expressing a bad boy, it doesn’t mean truly evil, but rather fatal and charming.”

At this, Jang Do-yeon mentioned San’s stage expressions, admiring, “San’s part gets very seductive. It’s a guilty gaze.” She expressed curiosity about whether his signature fatal expressions during dance performances were intentional. Wooyoung exposed his member, saying, “He intended it. He planned it from the start,” and added, “Looking in the mirror, even the sleeveless outfit was thoroughly calculated,” bringing more laughter. San joked, “I am sorry,” but then clarified, “I’ve never really thought about my expressions. Since many people talked about them, I figured it was a point that people liked.”

The behind-the-scenes creation of the killing part in ‘BAD’ was also revealed. Wooyoung joked, “I didn’t know San’s ‘Let’s all die’ part would do this well. Seonghwa had so many parts in the music video that I even said if the album failed, it would be Park Seonghwa’s fault.” However, after their first broadcast, an unexpected reaction exploded. Wooyoung revealed that San’s stage video became a massive hot topic right after their debut broadcast.

San recalled the dizzying moment, saying, “I wondered, ‘Why is this doing so well?'” Upon hearing this, Wooyoung emphasized once again, “100% of it was San’s sense, his chest, his sleeveless shirt, and his gaze that made it happen,” turning the set into a sea of laughter. The witty banter between the two regarding ATEEZ’s global popularity and the behind-the-scenes story of San’s killing part drew significant attention.
