The Kings Are Back: Big Bang Announces Massive 20th Anniversary World Tour Across 18 Cities
Get your yellow crown lightsticks ready, VIPs, because the undisputed Kings of K-pop are officially returning to reclaim their throne on a global scale. Following their legendary, internet-breaking performance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival earlier this year, YG Entertainment dropped a bombshell announcement on Thursday, unveiling the highly anticipated dates and cities for the Big Bang 20th anniversary world tour.
Marking their first joint world tour in nine long years, the legendary group is set to embark on a massive global trek, bringing their unmatched stage presence, timeless hits, and boundary-pushing production to millions of eager fans worldwide.
Reclaiming the Throne: 31 Concerts, 18 Cities
The monumental “Big Bang 2026 World Tour” will officially kick off with an explosive three-day concert series at the Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi, South Korea, running from August 21 to 23. This hometown opening will set the stage for an ambitious global itinerary featuring a total of 31 concerts across 18 major cities.
Immediately after rocking Seoul, the trio—consisting of industry icons G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung—will cross the Pacific to ignite the North American leg. The group is scheduled to hit Oakland, California, on September 5, followed by a massive stadium show in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on September 11. European VIPs won’t be left out of the party either, as the tour is set to conquer Paris on September 19 and London on September 26.
A Year-Long Global Celebration Into 2027
The second half of the Big Bang 20th anniversary world tour will see the group dive deep into an extensive Asia-Pacific leg, ensuring that fans across the region get to witness K-pop history in the making. The tour will weave through Taipei (Oct. 10–11), Singapore (Oct. 17), Hanoi (Oct. 24–25), Sydney (Oct. 31), and Bangkok (Nov. 7).
Winter 2026 will belong entirely to Japan, where the group commands a legendary stadium-level following. Big Bang will head line an intense Japanese dome tour, hitting Osaka (Nov. 27–29), Nagoya (Dec. 5–6), Tokyo (Dec. 13–15), and Fukuoka (Dec. 26–27). The global celebration will seamlessly stretch into 2027, with high-octane stops planned for Kuala Lumpur on January 9, Jakarta on January 16, and wrapping up in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on February 27 and 28, 2027.
Production Like Never Before: What to Expect
Having debuted in August 2006 with their self-titled EP, Big Bang has spent two decades completely reshaping the global music landscape. Known for their experimental fashion, self-produced tracks, and electrifying live energy, this 20th-anniversary milestone is more than just a nostalgic throwback—it is a statement of their enduring legacy.
“We are preparing this tour with immense consideration in every single aspect, from the sheer scale of the venues to the cinematic quality of the production,” stated YG Entertainment in an official press release. “We want to fully meet and exceed the expectations of fans who have waited so faithfully for so long. Additional tour stops will be announced in the future, so stay tuned.”
While the K-pop landscape has evolved rapidly over the past decade, one truth remains absolute: whenever G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung share a stage, the world watches. Grab your tickets early, because this is bound to be the most sought-after concert ticket of the decade.
