BLACKPINK Jisoo recently showcased her top-tier spicy food tolerance on JTBC’s ‘Fridge By Chef’, confessing that she regularly enjoys the spiciest levels of tteokbokki and pork cutlets.
Airing at 8:50 PM, the episode features global K-pop icon BLACKPINK’s Jisoo alongside ATEEZ members San and Woo-young. Jisoo revealed she is a regular fan of the show who treats it as her ultimate ‘rice buddy’ companion while eating. Meanwhile, San and Woo-young expressed their long-awaited excitement to appear on the program, creating an unexpected chemistry between senior and junior world stars.
Chef Jung Ho-young drew attention by affectionately calling himself the ‘5th member of BLACKPINK’ to welcome Jisoo. Additionally, curiosity sparked over similarities between Jisoo and chef Yoon Nam-no after rumors circulated that she had been imitating him recently.
During the refrigerator reveal, Jisoo initially expressed confidence, but the chefs immediately sounded alarms upon seeing the contents. Known for consuming the highest spice levels of tteokbokki and spicy cutlets, Jisoo proudly displayed her unique spicy food preference. When a group tasting commenced, the overwhelming heat forced the chefs to give up, while Jisoo calmly finished all the fiery dishes by herself.
In the first cooking battle, ‘spicy lover’ Jisoo’s palate was targeted by Son Jong-won and Kimηι£ (Kimηι£). Son Jong-won surprised everyone by stepping up to the spicy food challenge despite his well-known weak tolerance to spice. He even joked about summoning an ambulance, while the ensuing tear-inducing and sneeze-evoking cooking session heightened overall expectations.
The second battle featured show-stealers Choi Hyun-seok and Park Eun-young. Choi appealed to Jisoo by recalling a past gift he gave her, while Park highlighted their shared hometown and delivered an impressive performance.
Jisoo recently released her digital single ‘ADDICTED’ on November 30th, actively greeting domestic fans through various broadcasts including ‘Fridge By Chef’ and upcoming variety appearances.
