Actress Choi Seo-eun has made a strong impression by transforming into an ‘MZ shaman’ in the short-form romance reality drama ‘Adieu Solo’. Released on the 21st, ‘Adieu Solo’ is a fake-documentary reality drama where eight men and women gathered at a luxury resort in Pattaya, Thailand, search for love while facing each other’s truths and lies.

In the drama, Choi played Haesu, a shaman who sees through the relationships and inner thoughts of the participants. With a calm tone, deep gaze, and piercing expressions, she created a subtle tension while sharply pinpointing the characters’ inner feelings, exuding a unique aura.

Her chemistry with Hyun-jun (played by Baek Ju-ho) revealed a different side of Haesu. While she reads the destinies and minds of others, she showed a more honest and comfortable side when facing her own emotions. Their witty banter hinted at subtle affection and excitement, naturally contrasting her charismatic persona as a shaman with that of a woman in fall of love.

Choi expressed Haesu’s inner self through restrained breathing and delicate gaze rather than exaggerated emotions. Her stylish wardrobe, combined with Pattaya’s exotic scenery, further enhanced Haesu’s sophisticated charm. She successfully portrayed a wide spectrum of traits, from a cold and mystical first impression to a warm, attentive side, and finally a lovely persona in front of Hyun-jun.

Choi, who won Miss Korea Jin at the 65th Miss Korea pageant, first made her name known to the public through Netflix’s ‘Single’s Inferno 2’. Expanding her career into acting, ‘Adieu Solo’ holds special meaning as her very first acting project. By successfully breathing life into the character of Haesu with stable acting and restrained expression, she proved her potential as an actress.

Having continued to build her acting experience through various upcoming projects such as ‘Butterfly’, ‘Typhoon Company’, ‘Sculpted City’, and ‘Monthly Boyfriend’, Choi is steadily broadening her spectrum by showcasing fresh characters in every work.

Successfully transitioning from ‘Single’s Inferno 2’ to a versatile actress, expectations are high on how Choi Seo-eun will continue to expand her acting horizon in future projects.
