Two men have been arrested by police after forcefully stealing a necklace from an elderly woman sitting on a park bench in western Culver City, LA County.
Incident Details at Culver City Park
According to the Culver City Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 6 PM last Sunday on the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard. The victim was sitting on a bench when she was approached by two male suspects.
Police stated that the suspects forcefully ripped the necklace from the victim’s neck before fleeing the scene on foot.
Rapid Police Response and Arrest
Officers responding to the emergency call searched the surrounding area and quickly located two individuals matching the suspects’ description, taking them into custody.
After a victim identification process, the suspects were booked at the Culver City Police Department on robbery charges. The identities of the suspects have not been released to the public.
Authorities credited the swift reporting and thorough neighborhood search for enabling officers to apprehend the suspects immediately following the crime.
