Doctor X starring Kim Ji-won is showing an explosive upward trend, coming dangerously close to the 20% viewership rating milestone. Meanwhile, 100 Days of Lies starring Kim Yoo-jung saw a slight decline in ratings, and Final Table starring Ahn Hyo-seop kicked off its run with ratings in the 1% range.
According to viewership ratings research company Nielsen Korea on the 25th, the 6th episode of the SBS Fri-Sat drama ‘Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia’ recorded a nationwide rating of 19.5%. This is a 2%p increase compared to the previous 5th episode. Furthermore, it easily surpassed its previous personal best of 18.5% set in the 4th episode.
On the other hand, the 5th episode of the tvN drama ‘100 Days of Lies’ starring Kim Yoo-jung recorded 6.5%, dropping 2.5%p from the 9% recorded in the previous episode, while JTBC’s ‘Final Table’ starring Ahn Hyo-seop started off with a 1.9% rating.
Although these three dramas air around the same time and their time slots partially overlap, they are not direct simultaneous competitors. However, they are drawing significant attention due to the sharp contrasts in their viewership numbers.
In particular, Kim Ji-won’s ‘Doctor X’ is leaving only a slim 0.5%p margin before hitting the ‘magical 20%’ rating mark, raising anticipation for its future trajectory.
Coupled with Kim Ji-won’s chilling emotional acting, the introduction of diverse characters, and solid storytelling, the upward momentum of ‘Doctor X’ continues to intensify.
Meanwhile, ‘100 Days of Lies’ drew praise for Kim Yoo-jung’s flawless acting, but gathered focus as its ratings experienced a slight dip. Curiosity is building over whether today’s broadcast will help recover some of the lost viewership.
Ahn Hyo-seop, who returned as a chef, seemed unable to hold his ground between Kim Ji-won and Kim Yoo-jung. Attention is focused on whether he can lead a stable ratings rebound starting from his 1.9% premiere.
