The Dollar Tree electric balloon pump recall has been issued after reports of the devices overheating, causing serious fire and burn hazards for consumers.
Recently, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that approximately 360,500 electric balloon pumps sold at Dollar Tree are being recalled.
The recalled items are high-pressure electric pumps featuring a pink body and blue handle, equipped with two nozzles along with continuous and touch operation functions.
According to the CPSC, three reports of the devices overheating have been received. These incidents include one report of sparks inside the product and another report of the device exploding. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported to date.
The affected products were sold for about $17 from August of last year through July of this year at nationwide Dollar Tree stores, the Dollar Tree website, and via DoorDash.
The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled pumps.
Customers who purchased the items in-store can return them to any nearby Dollar Tree location to receive a full refund.
