EXO CBX โ€” Court Suspends Exclusive Contract Over Breach of Trust

Court Rules in Favor of EXO CBX

EXO CBX members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin have officially had their exclusive contracts with agency INB100 suspended by the judiciary. The Seoul Central District Court granted the injunction requested by the trio, ruling that the contract’s effectiveness will remain suspended until the first-trial ruling on the main lawsuit determining the non-existence of the contract. As a result, INB100 is legally barred from entering into contracts with third parties against the members’ wishes, demanding entertainment activities, or interfering with their independent endeavors.

Breakdown of Trust and Unpaid Settlements

The court pointed out that INB100 failed to fulfill its obligation to pay out earnings generated from the members’ entertainment activities as stipulated in the contract, thereby breaching mutual trust. The judiciary emphasized that the breakdown in the foundational relationship makes it impossible to maintain a normal exclusive partnership. INB100, originally founded by Baekhyun in June 2023 and later incorporated into Cha Ga-won’s One Hundred label, faced criticism for remaining unresponsive throughout the injunction proceedings. Meanwhile, Cha Ga-won, who currently operates One Hundred independently following MC๋ชฝ’s departure, was indicted and detained by prosecutors in August over alleged fraud involving approximately $22 million USD, with her first trial scheduled for October 13, 2026, according to OSEN.
