Fin.K.L reunion has officially been confirmed, thrilling K-pop fans across South Korea and the globe as the legendary first-generation girl group prepares to make a historic comeback after 21 years. Ock Joo-hyun recently shared her heartfelt gratitude toward leader Lee Hyori for making this long-awaited moment a reality.
On September 25, Ock Joo-hyun posted a throwback video on her social media from Lee Hyori’s 2013 appearance on MBC’s ‘Radio Star.’ In the clip, Lee Hyori expressed her lingering wish to perform together again while they were still young, praising Ock Joo-hyun’s successful musical theater career.
Responding to the resurfaced video, Ock Joo-hyun wrote, ‘Thanks to our Hyol leader, Fin.K.L shines even brighter today.’ She also reminisced about their shared history, noting that a full group concert has always been a dream shared by both the members and their devoted fandom.
South Korea’s Iconic First-Gen Group Plans Massive Comeback
Agency Gemstone E&M announced on September 21 that all four members—Lee Hyori, Ock Joo-hyun, Lee Jin, and Sung Yu-ri—are preparing for full-scale group activities. This marks their first official group release and promotion under the name ‘Fin.K.L’ since their digital single ‘Forever Fin.K.L’ in 2005, spanning approximately 21 years.
While the four members reunited briefly in 2019 through the JTBC reality program ‘Camping Club,’ the upcoming project goes far beyond a temporary television special. The group plans to connect with fans through a comprehensive two-year roadmap featuring new music, concerts, documentaries, variety show appearances, exhibitions, brand collaborations, and official merchandise.
