Why Driving Golf Carts on Public Roads is Illegal
Police issued three separate violation tickets, including driving an uninsured vehicle and failing to wear seatbelts, totaling $765, while the golf cart was towed from the scene immediately. According to authorities, golf carts are designed for low-speed use in restricted areas like golf courses and often lack essential safety features required for regular streets, such as turn signals, brake lights, and rear-view mirrors.
