Former T-ara member and actress Hahm Eun-jung recently opened up about the behind-the-scenes love story of her marriage to film director Kim Byung-woo. During her appearance on a variety show, she revealed that her wedding preparations coincided precisely with her drama filming schedule, resulting in an unbelievable and intense marathon of work.
Reflecting on her 32-year career in the entertainment industry since debuting as a child actress in 1995, Hahm shared that her wedding day passed by in such a blur that her memories of it remain hazy. Because of her ongoing drama shoot, she had to squeeze her wedding preparations into a tight one-month window, completely skipping traditional milestones like wedding dress tours.
To make matters worse, she injured her leg right before the wedding, forcing her to wear a knee brace and comfortable shoes. She recalled begging the production team to give her the day off right before the wedding so she could catch up on beauty care and finally try on her wedding dress. In fact, she was back on the filming set by 7 a.m. the very next day after her wedding.
Hahm also expressed deep gratitude to the numerous colleagues who attended her wedding, noting that she had an unprecedented four people deliver congratulatory messages, including actors Ha Jung-woo and Park Hae-soo from her husband’s side. Guests from both the drama and film industries gathered to complete the star-studded celebration.
Sharing how she first met her husband, she explained that they were introduced through mutual acquaintances at a gathering of film industry people. By their second meeting, she felt an inexplicable pull, describing the sensation as her “cells moving” inside her.
She also touched upon her past virtual marriage with Lee Jang-woo on “We Got Married,” noting how they coincidentally faced real marriages around the same time, leading to a nostalgic reunion on her YouTube channel.
Having experienced the heartbreaking loss of her mother in November 2024, Hahm married Director Kim Byung-woo at a Seoul hotel in November 2025, with fellow T-ara members in attendance to celebrate her special day while she postponed her honeymoon to finish her drama commitments.
