Son Heung-minβs arrival in Los Angeles is driving demand, with tickets for what could be his first LAFC home match on August 31 against San Diego FC at BMO Stadium climbing sharply. Son Heung-min LAFC ticket prices now show the lowest seats at about $200, up to eight times more than before the transfer.
According to Ticketmaster, which lists both official and resale inventory, the floor price for the match is about $200 compared with the pre-transfer level. Even standing-room in the supportersβ 3252 sectionβbehind the goalβhas risen well above its previous $21β$25 range.
Seats in the central lower 100-level section exceed $500, effectively turning them into premium tickets. Fans report that resale prices have increased by at least 30% since news of Son Heung-minβs signing.
At the arrival site on August 5, Michael Barahatz, an LAFC fan, said, βBefore, you could watch a game for $25, but even todayβs match costs over $75. Iβm happy we got the best player in the world, but Iβm also worried prices will keep going up.β
The surge extends to merchandise. On the MLS official website, jerseys with Son Heung-minβs name and number are listed as βspecial event itemsβ at $194.99. High demand has delayed shipping, with some orders scheduled to ship after September 12.
LAFC and the MLS as a whole are experiencing βSonny fever,β underscoring the economic lift and intense fan interest sparked by a single playerβs arrival. In line with the key trend, Son Heung-min LAFC ticket prices remain elevated as the potential debut date approaches.
