Xu Yiyang Confirms Birth and Addresses Rumors
Chinese singer and actress Xu Yiyang officially acknowledged the existence of their son during a live broadcast. Previously, she shared a photo on social media showing her and Tao holding hands with a young child on a sunset beach, sparking massive curiosity and speculation among netizens.
After dating since 2020, Tao and Xu Yiyang went public with their relationship in July 2024. Tao proposed the following month, announced their marriage in December, and held their wedding ceremony late last year. However, the apparent age of the child in the photo sparked confusion, leading to rumors of a premarital pregnancy and online backlash over the delayed announcement.
Explaining the Delay and Denying Surrogacy
During the broadcast, Xu Yiyang explained that she gave birth to their son in 2024, and he is now over two years old. She revealed that while Tao wanted to share the happy news immediately, her unstable physical and emotional health at the time led her to postpone the announcement to avoid external stress and interference.
Addressing various online rumors, Xu Yiyang firmly denied using a surrogate, stating that she gave birth to their only child herself.
