
Group Illit’s debut song Illit Magnetic has achieved streaming ‘Triple Platinum’ certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
Illit Magnetic Reaches 300 Million Streams in Japan
According to their agency Belift Lab on the 2nd, based on data released by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, the title track ‘Magnetic’ from Illit’s 1st mini-album ‘SUPER REAL ME’ surpassed 300 million cumulative streams as of August, earning a triple platinum streaming certification.
With this, Illit has added another meaningful record, achieving 300 million streams approximately 2 years and 5 months after the release of the ‘Magnetic’ sound source in March 2024. In particular, they are drawing attention for setting this record at the fastest speed among all foreign female artists who have reached 300 million streams.
Record-Breaking Success and Upcoming Comeback
‘Magnetic’ previously received platinum certification, which is awarded to songs with over 100 million cumulative streams, just three months after its release, breaking the record for the shortest period among tracks by female groups, including local Japanese artists. This highlights Illit’s immense local popularity.
Continuing their global upward trend, Illit is set to make a comeback by releasing their 5th mini-album ‘BREAK EVEN’ on the 26th.
