K-pop girl group IVE is ramping up the excitement for their new release with a diverse array of offline content.
To coincide with the official release of their new album ‘Looks Can Kill’ on October 26, IVE unveiled a special visual experience at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). Having previously screened the ‘POST CREDIT SCENE : GIRL HERO’ DDP version through ‘DDP 365 Light’ starting October 19, the group newly released the DDP version music video for the album’s title track, ‘Looks Can Kill’.
‘DDP 365 Light’ is a permanent media art program that combines video, laser, lighting, and sound against the exterior wall of DDP. The dazzling laser show and sensory lighting direction maximize immersion, capturing the attention of fans and tourists while effectively conveying the intensity and grandeur of the new release.
In addition, the photo zone where visitors can meet ‘Hero IVE’ features an actual display of the ‘Hero Masks’ worn by the members in the music video and concept photos, drawing significant attention. Visitors can vividly experience IVE’s unique ‘Looks Can Kill’ worldview through this exhibition. The promotion, organized in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seoul Design Foundation, and Live Lab, features an SNS authentication event and ‘Hero Mask’ exhibition running until November 1, while ‘DDP 365 Light’ continues until November 22.
Released on October 26, IVE’s new mini-album ‘Looks Can Kill’ conveys the message that ‘anyone can be the main character and hero of their own life.’ Through this, IVE presents a new hero archetype, the ‘girl hero,’ continuing the ‘IVE syndrome.’ The group plans to meet the public through diverse activities, including performances of the title track ‘Looks Can Kill.’
