[OSEN=Choi Lee-jung] World-class K-pop group IVE’s Gaeul and Liz made a surprise appearance on MBN and Channel S’s ‘Jeon Hyun Moo’s Plan 4’, showcasing their wit and unexpected ‘old-school tastes’ through a lively food tour.
Airing on the 23rd at 9:10 PM KST, episode 17 of IVE Gaeul and the show’s cast features ‘Muk-bros’ Jeon Hyun Moo and Kwak Tube teaming up with IVE members Gaeul and Liz for a special ‘Northern Gyeonggi Food Dive’ feature.
Arriving in Goyang Special City, Jeon Hyun Moo set the mood by referencing IVE’s hit song ‘Love Dive’, joking about the local food tour and surprising Kwak Tube with his energetic entrance.
The duo then headed to a unique North Korean-style pollock soup restaurant in Goyang. Despite its weathered exterior, they were amazed by the striking red visual of the whole pollock soup, praising its innovative recipe.
After their first meal, the pair met up with IVE’s Gaeul and Liz to head toward a famous northern Gyeonggi cold noodle restaurant. Inside the car, Jeon Hyun Moo brought up IVE’s immense popularity among children, often referred to as the ‘elementary school presidents’.
Liz shyly admitted, “When we shout ‘Babies!’ at our concerts, the cheering is incredible.” Gaeul added, “We even set up a separate ‘Baby DIVE Zone’ at our concerts for parents who are waiting for their children,” proving their top-tier status.
While tasting the warm broth at the noodle restaurant, Jeon Hyun Moo challenged them with a surprise test, asking, “If you guess what kind of broth this is, I’ll acknowledge you!” Without hesitation, Liz shouted, “Hwangtae (dried pollock)!”, drawing laughter and earning Kwak Tube’s admiration for her surprisingly mature culinary palate.
