The K-pop girl group izna is captivating fans with their unique charms and closing the distance with their local Japanese supporters.
izna members Mai, Bang Ji-min, Koko, Yu Sarang, Choi Jung-eun, and Jeong Se-bi recently took fans along on their travels through their official YouTube channel’s self-produced content series ‘Japan Wat-suna’. The show features Japanese members Mai and Coco taking the lead as they guide the rest of the group through various scenic spots in Japan.
Starting their journey in Tokyo’s Harajuku district, izna lived up to their title as ‘Food-suna’ by kicking off their trip at a brunch cafe. With Mai and Coco’s guidance, the members ordered food in Japanese, acting as reliable pillars of support for one another. Mai also treated the members to a traditional festival, allowing everyone to soak in the festive atmosphere while tasting street food.
Kamakura, holding fond memories from Mai’s school days, served as their second destination. The members heightened the travel mood with school uniform stylings that reflected their individual personalities. Led by Mai as their daily tour guide, izna explored local restaurants and gift shops while reenacting scenes from a Japanese youth romance film. In particular, they thoughtfully picked out a gift for Bang Ji-min, who sadly could not join the trip due to her duties as the MC for KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’, showcasing their deep friendship.
The group also made a surprise visit to Mai’s alma mater. As a former dance club member, Mai, alongside Coco, visited her high school graduation grounds to encourage junior students who advanced to the national tournament finals. The juniors warmly welcomed the two members with enthusiastic cheers. After delivering heartfelt words of encouragement, Mai and Coco performed a group challenge of ‘DUMB HOT!’, the title track of their Japanese 1st mini album.
To express their gratitude to Mai and Coco for curating such a joyful trip, the other members prepared tailored dessert gifts, warming hearts with their thoughtful gestures.
