Jihyo from the group TWICE has captured massive attention by revealing striking new profile pictures following the establishment of her own one-person agency.
On the 22nd, Jihyo shared multiple photos on her personal social media along with the short caption "A New Chapter."
The released photos capture Jihyo’s very first profile shoot since leaving JYP Entertainment and moving to a new agency. She drew intense interest by daring to pull off bold exposures, ranging from a fierce cut wearing only underwear beneath a black jacket to removing the jacket entirely for a striking lingerie-only look.
Displaying expressions and a mood 180 degrees different from her days promoting with TWICE, she also caught the eye in another profile by posing freely in hot pants and sheer clothing. By dropping dozens of new profile photos, she officially signaled her brand-new beginning.
Prior to this, Jihyo departed JYP Entertainment—the agency she had been with since her debut—after 21 years, leaving a heartfelt handwritten letter on her personal social media.
She expressed her gratitude, saying, "From my childhood and adolescence to adulthood, I spent most of my life’s moments at JYP. There were good days and difficult ones, but I am certain that all of those times make up who I am today. I sincerely thank the JYP officials who stayed by my side for a long time and helped me grow. I will cherish the times and hearts we shared for a long time."
She also announced the establishment of her new agency, EMITHAUS, stating, "Just like ‘Emit,’ which means to ‘radiate,’ I intend to freely unfold even the potentials of mine that I haven’t discovered yet right here. As I step out of a familiar environment to build things in a new way, I will approach all future choices and activities with an even more prudent and responsible attitude."
Furthermore, she drew a clear line that her independence from JYP is not a departure from TWICE. "TWICE is an irreplaceable, precious part of my life. Just as much as the time we have spent together, I am looking forward to the times we will share moving forward. I want to stand on the same stage with the members and continue the moments we create together for a long time," she said, adding, "Thank you to ONCE, who has trusted and watched over me for 11 years. I know very well that having someone watch over a person’s numerous changes and growth for a long time is never something to take for granted. Thank you for giving me courage with your unwavering trust and support over such a long time."
